Lankan Shehan Ambepitiya, fastest man in S. Asia

 
 

Feb 8, 2010 11:16 PM · Sri Lankan Shehan Ambepitiya has become the fastest man in South Asia when he claimed the 100 m gold at the 11th South Asian Games today (Feb. 08).

Shehan clocked 10.47 seconds to win the event in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

His was one of the three gold Sri Lanka won today.

Dilrukshi Priyadarshani won gold in the women's long jump, and Keshia Suhail claimed another in the women's 57 kg category in taekwondo.

Sri Lanka has so far won 16 gold at the Dhaka Games.
