EnlargeSep 14, 2009 1:13 PM · Authorities have been alerted that Nargesh Sudardeepan alias ‘Deepan’, a LTTE intelligence leader, has escaped from Menik Farm welfare camp, where he was held.
‘Deepan’, who allegedly was as a military and intelligence leader until the final battle, is said have been a close confidante of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.
Intelligence units have found out that ‘Deepan’ has escaped with the intention of fleeing abroad after giving a bribe of Rs. 600,000 to several persons.
Sources say that he is still in the country.
