Stumble UponJVP in awareness campaign on proposed constitutional reforms
EnlargeJun 27, 2010 11:21 PM · The JVP is to hold a series of seminars across the country to educate the people of the adverse effects of the executive presidency and the proposed constitutional amendments would have on the country.
The first of the seminars will be held tomorrow (June 28) evening at the Public Library auditorium in Colombo, where a lecture will be delivered by JVP politburo member and parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Mr. Dissanayake told 'Colombo Today' that the seminars would be held in every district within the next few weeks.
The seminars are titled, "Proposed constitutional amendments to the executive presidency: for the country or the family?"
